Arizona HB 2008 PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 10 December 2009

On November 24, 2009, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed into law HB 2008, a draconian piece of legislation that will ultimately affect the health and well-being of U.S. citizen children who qualify for vital services.  It is extremely important that our community be informed about this dangerous legislation, as well as aware of the irresponsible decisions made by our current governor.

Derechos Humanos has put together information about HB 2008 that is available below in pdf format.  It includes a basic informational flyer, cards to carry in your pocket, as well as Accompaniment and Withdrawal forms. The information is all in Spanish.

The Accompaniment Form is strongly encouraged, as all parents should be empowered to provide the best for their children regardless of their documentation. The Withdrawal form has been provided for families who simply want to cancel or discontinue any services or benefits that they may be receiving from DES.

Feel free to print and distribute to people who may be affected by HB 2008. Also, let your friends and family know about how this law is terrorizing communities and threatening the health and well-being of children.

If you have any questions about anything in the information packet, please contact the Derechos Humanos office at: 520.770.1373.
